Super16 is a community of filmmakers in Denmark.
Based at Nordisk Film's studios in Valby, Super16 is run as an association of young emerging filmmakers whose skills are developed over a three-year programme. Every two years, the current members of Super16 will select a new class of students to continue the organisation.
At Super16, each member makes three films over a three-year period: the first-year film, mid-term film and final film. These films are premiered annually and form an important part of the hands-on training for every member at Super16.
The Super16 community and all its productions is run with the generous help and support of a number of funds and organizations in the industry.
The current members of Super16 are class #12 and #13.
Each class consists of 3 programmes: Director, screenwriter and producer. This creative trinity forms the basis of film production at Super16.
