Despite a budding suburban film dream from 8th grade, Laura had to navigate some academic detours before finding her way back to film production. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Copenhagen before finding her home at the arthouse production company Frau film. Today, she works as a junior producer at Frau film, while also producing her own projects.
Laura is driven by working with documentary and fiction films that, through a visual and narrative processing of reality, aims to change something in the world. She wants to focus on highlighting overlooked narratives that might not otherwise have a place on the big screen. She loves films that dare to experiment, combine formats and genres, and push the boundaries of the film format. Additionally, she is fascinated by European film production across borders and wrote her thesis on Danish-Chinese co-production.
At her core, Laura is a huge arthouse film enthusiast, and she admits to shedding more tears during movies than in real life, which occasionally concerns her.
