Marco was born in 1995 and raised in Copenhagen. In 2015, he started his journey in the film industry as a runner, spending most of his time emptying trash cans and making sandwiches. From there, he gradually moved closer to the director's chair, serving as an assistant director for Niels Arden Oplev, Michael Noer, and Frederik Louis Hviid, while simultaneously directing his own short films.
He applied to Super16 with his short film, "THE DINNER", which earned a nomination at the Robert Award for Short Film of the Year: Fiction/Animation and was selected for the Odense International Film Festival, where he received the FilmFyn Talent Award.
Marco is deeply committed to creating relatable films that also carry a touch of novelty. He often explores characters struggling to find their place in life and loves delving into the intersection of social classes. It's no secret that he has a passion for genre films, and he finds it unfortunate that they're often associated with compromise or lack of originality.
